These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the InnerLight mobile application ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. About the App

InnerLight is a self-guided wellness application that provides daily journal prompts, audio lessons, breathwork exercises, and optional parts work dialogues structured across a 90-day program. The App is designed for personal use by adults.

2. Not a substitute for professional care

InnerLight is not therapy, medical advice, or a mental health treatment. The App provides educational and self-reflective content inspired by therapeutic frameworks such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and polyvagal theory, but it is not a replacement for professional mental health care.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis helpline. The App includes links to crisis resources such as the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline.

Use the App's content at your own discretion. If any exercise or prompt feels activating or distressing, you are encouraged to stop and seek support from a qualified professional.

3. License

Subject to these Terms, the developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes on devices you own or control.

This license is also governed by the applicable end-user license agreement of the platform through which you obtained the App, including the Apple Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) and the Google Play Terms of Service, as applicable.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the content you create within the App, including journal entries, voice recordings, and parts work dialogues. The developer does not access, collect, or claim any rights to your content. See our Privacy Policy for details on how your data is handled.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to circumvent any security features of the App
  • Redistribute, sublicense, or resell the App or its content

6. Subscriptions and in-app purchases

InnerLight offers both free and paid content.

Free tier

The initial days of the 90-day practice, along with all safety features and basic functionality, are available free of charge with no account or payment information required.

InnerLight Circle

InnerLight Circle is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks the full 90-day guided practice, all audio lessons, and premium features. The subscription is available as:

  • Monthly plan — billed monthly at the price displayed in your app store at the time of purchase
  • Annual plan — billed annually at the price displayed in your app store at the time of purchase

Prices may vary by region and currency. The exact price is always shown before you confirm your purchase.

Auto-renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Free trials

If a free trial is offered, it will convert to a paid subscription at the end of the trial period unless cancelled. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

How to cancel

You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time:

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid content until then.

Refunds

Refund requests are handled by the platform through which you purchased the subscription. Please contact Apple Support or Google Play Support directly for refund inquiries.

Price changes

We may adjust subscription pricing from time to time. If the price of your subscription changes, you will be notified in advance via the platform's standard notification process and given the opportunity to cancel before the new price takes effect.

7. Intellectual property

The App, including its design, audio content, text, curriculum structure, and code, is the intellectual property of the developer and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce or redistribute any part of the App's content without prior written permission.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

The developer does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. The developer makes no claims regarding the therapeutic efficacy of any content in the App.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

  • Your use of or inability to use the App
  • Any content or materials obtained through the App
  • Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data

10. Community features

Community features are currently disabled in the App. If community features are enabled in a future update, additional community guidelines and terms will apply and will be made available before the feature launches.

11. Changes to these terms

The developer may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
